Helsinki Mini 2016
The Helsinki Mini tournament was held ont the 22nd October 2016 in Helsinki, Finland. Here are the motions that were debated at that tournament.

Round 1: This house regrets the rise of TV talent shows
Round 2: Infoslide: A zero-hour contract is a type of contract where the employer is not obliged to provide any minimum working hours, while the worker is not obliged to accept any work offered. As no hours are guaranteed, worker’s rights suchas sick pay or parental leave may be affected. These contracts are often used in retail and service industries.
Motion: This house would ban zero-hour contracts
Round 3: This house would prohibit people with criminal records from running for political office
Round 4: Infoslide: Pop feminism refers to a popularised form of feminism in contrast to academic feminism or feminist political activism. Pop feminism celebrates female empowerment and feminist identity through media including but not limited to pop music, advertising, fashion and social media campaigns. Examples of pop feminism include various songs and performances by Beyonce or Vogue India’s “My Choice” campaign.
Motion: This house regrets the rise of pop feminism
Final: This house believes that it would be in Russia’s interest to abandon the goal of becoming a global superpower rivaling the US
