Moscow Open 2011
Here are the motions from the Moscow Open 2011 tournament, held on November 26th and 27th in Moscow, Russia.
Round 1: This house would ban the smacking of children
Round 2: This house believes that one party’s maximum share in the parliament should be limited to 50% + 1 place
Round 3: This house believes that eurozone countries that are in danger of default should be forced to give up control over taxation and budget spending in addition to receiving a bail-out.
Round 4: This house believes that legislators should not take the will of the people into consideration, when the reason behind it is religious
Round 5: This house believes that countries should use political leverage to influence judicial proceedings involving their citizens in other countries.
Semi-final: This house believes that Russia along with the EU & US should implement a complete trade ban with Iran
Final: This house believes that society would be better if the primary duty of companies were to their workers and not to their shareholders
