Round 2: This house believes that First Ladies/Gentlemen should not publicly advocate for policies or political positions during their partner’s term in office
Round 3: This house believes that schools should avoid instilling a sense of patriotism
Round 4: Info Slide: Jury nullification occurs in a trial when a jury acquits a defendant, even though the members of the jury believe the defendant to be guilty of the charges. This may occur when members of the jury disagree with the law the defendant has been charged with breaking, or believe that the law should not be applied in that particular case. A jury can similarly convict a defendant on the ground of disagreement with existing law, even if no law is broken. Motion: This house would allow jury nullification
Semi-Finals: This house would charge George W. Bush with war crimes for the CIA’s actions in his terms
Finals: This house belives that policy pertaining to religion in the public sphere in Israel should be set on a local level
